Each Riflemaker exhibition features live performances, films, talks and music/poetry events, usually taking place on Monday evenings.
Previous events have featured Yoko Ono (live Bagism performance as part of our Indica exhibition), Gavin Turk (one hundred artists piss painting live on four copper canvases - during Turk's 'Me As Him' exhibition), Andrey Bartenev (a one-off 'Mouth Off' censorship piece. Visitors were asked to tape up their mouths with masking-tape for the duration of the evening), Alice Anderson's doll's hair installation throughout the building, a wide group discussion about the disappearance of print photography and therefore of photographic darkrooms, and in September 2011 a week of free lunchtime piano recitals by James Rhodes.
